Ecuador's leader Daniel Noboa came out without injury following his official motorcade was attacked by stone-throwing protesters and what authorities described as possible shots.

Noboa was opening a water treatment plant in central Ecuador when his motorcade was set upon by a large group protesting against increasing energy costs.
